About

Dr. Shehram Majid is a board-certified psychiatrist and the founder of CIP Psychiatry. He started the practice with one goal in mind. He wanted a place where patients could get high-quality, in-network psychiatric care that still felt personal. He is originally from Houston, and he returned home in 2025 to open the Sugar Land office.

His training covers a wide range of settings. He has worked in VA medical centers, community mental health clinics, cancer clinics, and HIV and AIDS clinics. He has also trained in neurology and geriatric clinics, and in inpatient psychiatric units for adults, children, and older adults. His emergency room and substance use experience round out a very full picture.

That breadth shapes how he treats people today. He sees patients facing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, OCD, ADHD, grief, identity questions, and major life changes. He also works with people carrying the weight of a difficult family history, childhood emotional neglect, or domestic abuse.

Dr. Majid takes a whole-person approach. Medication can be an important tool, but it is rarely the whole answer. He also brings in therapy, lifestyle changes, and wellness support based on what each patient actually needs. He takes time to build rapport and understand what you are dealing with. From there, he shapes a plan that helps you feel better now and keep building.

Treatment plans are built around both immediate relief and long-term growth. The aim is to help you feel better now and keep building from there.

4
