UNDERSTANDING TELEHEALTH
What is Telehealth Psychiatry?
Telehealth psychiatry is full psychiatric care delivered by secure video instead of in person. That includes evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and follow-up. The only difference is that you connect from home, work, or anywhere with an internet connection.
At CIP Psychiatry, telehealth is not a second-tier service. Every provider on our team follows the same evidence-based protocols used in our Sugar Land office, including the same 50-minute initial evaluations and 25-minute follow-up visits.
Telehealth suits psychiatry well because diagnosis and treatment decisions are based on what you share in conversation. The same evaluation process, treatment protocols, and follow-up standards apply to both telehealth and in-person visits, so a video session works just as well as a face-to-face visit for most mental health conditions.
PRESCRIPTIONS AND ADHD
Online Medication Management in Texas
Can an online psychiatrist in Texas prescribe medication? Can our online team in Texas prescribe medication? Yes. After a video evaluation, our Texas-licensed clinicians can start or adjust medication when it fits your needs. That includes SSRIs such as Lexapro and Zoloft, SNRIs such as Effexor, and non-stimulants such as Strattera. In most cases the prescription reaches your pharmacy the same day.
For ADHD, we handle diagnosis and ongoing treatment by video. Our Texas team treats adults through secure telemedicine, so you do not need a local specialist. Stimulants such as Adderall and Vyvanse are controlled substances. We prescribe them only after a full evaluation, following Ryan Haight Act and Texas Medical Board rules. Before you book, we tell you clearly what we can and cannot prescribe.
Your provider can evaluate your symptoms, start or adjust medication, and send the prescription to your local pharmacy, all in one video visit.
Depression and Anxiety Medication
SSRIs, SNRIs, and other non-controlled options for depression and anxiety, started and adjusted by video with regular follow-up.
Refills and Adjustments
Already settled on a medication that works for you? We continue your management and handle refills through scheduled telehealth follow-ups.
Online ADHD Treatment
Adult ADHD diagnosis and medication management through Texas telemedicine, including stimulant and non-stimulant options when clinically justified. Get ADHD meds online in Texas after a proper evaluation.
Texas Prescribing Rules, Followed
Controlled substances are handled under federal and Texas Medical Board regulations, with proper evaluation and documentation every time.
Same-Day E-Prescribing
Non-controlled prescriptions are sent electronically to your pharmacy of choice in Texas, often before you log off the visit.
Insurance or Self-Pay
We are in-network with seven major plans. No insurance? Self-pay rates are available, with superbills provided for out-of-network reimbursement.
